Step Parents

I recently stumbled on an article by an astrologer who was using 12th house for stepfather and 6th house for stepmother, referencing classical texts.   It is difficult to understand the logic behind that, but it was because in ancient times the step parent was often the sibling of the mother or father.That type of rule can’t really apply in modern times. It would be more reasonable to suggest that the second husband of the mother would relate to the 11th house and the second wife of the father would relate to the 5th house.
