Etymology and Astrology

Many common words in the English language today originated from an ancient preoccupation and acknowledgement of the cosmos, and the importance of astrological awareness …

Words like

Consider – Con (with or thoroughly)-sider (sidereal) – To ponder on the stars
Desire – De (from) Sire (sider, sidereal, heavenly body) – Await what the stars will bring

Disaster – Dis (Separation) Aster (Star) – Separation from the Stars

Even Christian dates such as E-aster, are to do with Star, Ishtar, planet Venus and the spring Equinox.
